Good evening. Tonight, I come to you with a difficult but necessary update.
America is not just unsettled, it is in crisis. I hear it from you every single day, and today’s news cycle made it impossible to ignore. From reckless foreign policy decisions to instability and violence here at home, people across this country are struggling. They are anxious. They are afraid. And they are exhausted.
I understand that feeling.
That’s why tonight I’m sharing an important and deeply personal video. I sat down with Senator Mark Kelly and former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords on the 15-year anniversary of the day Gabby was nearly killed in a horrific act of gun violence. Fifteen years later, the questions we were forced to confront that day remain unanswered, and the chaos has only deepened.
As a journalist, I refuse to normalize this moment. I will not accept disorder, violence, and dysfunction as “just the way things are.” That kind of resignation is dangerous.
We must demand better from our leaders, our institutions, and ourselves. And I will continue fighting to ensure that every American has access to accurate, timely, and accountable journalism.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rejected an invitation from Jesse Watters, telling a Fox News producer that Watters had sexualized and harassed her on air by accusing her of wanting to sleep with Stephen Miller, and challenging the producer on what they consider acceptable to say to a woman.
Ranking Member Robert Garcia just secured subpoenas for Les Wexner, billionaire businessman and a long-time benefactor of Jeffrey Epstein, and Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn, the executors of the Epstein estate. This just happened during tonight’s House Oversight Committee hearing. This morning I spoke with Jess Michaels, an Epstein survivor about where things go from here:
