Good afternoon everyone. What I am about to share with you is an exclusive report with enormous global implications. We have live sources on the ground in Greenland at this very moment as Donald Trump announces sweeping tariffs against European nations in an unprecedented attempt to force the purchase of Greenland. At the same time, a significant military buildup is underway in Greenland, and today marked the largest protest in the country’s history.
As I told you last night, we are expanding the Parnas Perspective. That expansion means live reporting from anywhere in the world when the story demands it, including Greenland. This level of journalism is only possible with your support, so if you are able to subscribe and help sustain this work, it truly makes a difference.
This is not speculation. This is happening now.
I spoke directly with Shane Smith, who is on the ground in Greenland, reporting from outside the United States consulate. What he describes is extraordinary. Massive demonstrations, heightened military presence, and a population united in opposition to American pressure. We have exclusive footage and firsthand reporting that you will not see anywhere else.
Here is what we know.
This morning, Donald Trump announced that the United States will impose a 10 percent tariff on goods imported from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland beginning February 1. That tariff will increase to 25 percent on June 1 and will remain in place, according to Trump, until a deal is reached for what he called the complete and total purchase of Greenland.
According to Shane Smith, the situation on the ground is tense. He reports a visible and growing military presence and widespread anger among Greenlanders as today’s demonstrations became the largest protest the nation has ever seen. Thousands gathered outside key government and diplomatic locations, including the U.S. consulate, to protest American interference and reject any attempt at acquisition.
At the same time, massive protests erupted across both Greenland and Denmark. In Copenhagen and cities throughout Denmark and Greenland, thousands upon thousands of Danes and Greenlanders came together to send a clear and unified message to Donald Trump and the United States: Hands off Greenland.
In Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, a major Stop Trump protest took place, led by the Prime Minister and other senior political leaders. The message could not have been clearer. This is exclusive video from Greenland:
“Listen to us. Our country is not for sale. We do not want to be Americans. We are Kalaallit.” Another statement echoed through the crowd and across social media: “Not to take over. Not to acquire. Not by pressure. Not now. Not ever.”
This is a defining moment. What is unfolding in Greenland is not just a regional dispute. It is a global test of sovereignty, democracy, and the limits of political power. We will continue to bring you exclusive reporting from the ground as this story develops, and we will not look away.
Stay with me.
